The Maple Moose
A Canadian symbol that represents the country's native wildlife. Moose is derived from the Algonquin word "mooswa," meaning "twig-eater."
A Menu for Everyone
In the pre-Covid times of 2018, we sat down and discussed owning a restaurant that offers something for everyone, that stayed true to our values and encapsulated being Canadian. We bantered around name ideas first, that would suggest a fun atmosphere and a Canadian vibe. It was in that conversation that the Maple Moose Pub was born.
From there we tossed around ideas about how to separate us from other restaurants, make us that little bit unique. As Canadians, we are diverse, we are unique and we are fun! But how do we get that all wrapped into one awesome package?
We decided that the way to that goal was to offer up not just delicious pub fare, but add a touch of Canadian fare throughout our food and drink menu.
A Place to Relax
We added multiple TV’s that showcase our favourite Canadian sports teams, for joining together and cheering in comradery, even if we aren’t cheering for the same team.
Then to stay on theme, we created a rustic modern look with furniture and lights to create a vibe that speaks fun and comfort, depending on what you’re after. But we knew that we still had to do something that oozed what it is to be Canadian.
Giving back is what we decided on. We will support local charities throughout the year, by offering exciting ways for you to help us raise funds for those that need it most. Canadians are known around the world for their devotion to helping others in need and we can’t think of a better way to capture the Canadian spirit than that!
We have many more plans, and ideas to come too, but one thing at a time, eh?
